Stall Holder Information
Market Times:
The Market opens at 10am till 2pm every third Sunday of the month (December—first Sunday). All stalls must be set up before 9.45am and should not be packed up until 1.45pm
Booking Your Stall:
All booking for stalls are handled by our two
volunteer Market Coordinators and can be made by phoning:

Fees
The Community Market is the major fundraiser of the Derwent Valley Community House, all funds from stallholder fees are used by the Community House towards activities for
Derwent Valley residents.
Outside Stall Fees:
$10 per 4 meter space.
Tables can be hired at $5 per table and must be returned into the House before leaving.
Inside Stall Fees:
$10 per table and chair.
Clothing Racks:
$5 to $10
Animals
No animals are to be sold or given away.
Clean Up
All stall holders are expected to take rubbish with them and leave site in a clean and tidy condition.
Stallholders should note

Stallholders and their associates are to behave in an orderly and respectful manner while at the Market.

Market coordinators have the power to remove any article, sign, picture or printed matter which in their opinion may cause offence to the public or which obscures necessary public information.

Stallholders will not place additional racks, tables, signs or cars in a position that interrupts passages/ walkways between stalls.

Site allocation is at the discretion of the Market coordinators.

Derwent Valley Community House reserves the right to approve, refuse or cancel any stallholder place.

No weapons, including knifes shall be sold or advertised for sale.

Key for access toilet is held by Market Coordinator

Due to height of overhead electricity lines, parking in the side car park is entirely at the owner’s own risk

All stallholders are required to sign an agreement that they have read and understood all information contained on this webpage and in the Stallholders Information brochure.
Sale of Food
Electricity
Should electricity be required it needs to be prearranged with Market Coordinators at time of booking.
Only equipment that complies with
Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and display current tag will be plugged in.

Any sale of food must comply with Australian Food Safety Standards

Potentially hazardous foods must be kept under temperature control.

Food sold at the market that raises money solely for charitable or community causes and not for personal financial gain no longer needs to be labelled.

Food sold at the market for personal financial gain needs to be labelled and should include:
A description of the food, the name and
address of the person who made the food, a list of ingredients, a best before date and any special storage conditions.

We recommend you should obtain the latest information from Derwent Valley Council.

Public Liability
As part of running the Market our insurance covers public liability only.
We do not cover stallholders or their associates against product liability or supply cover for food outlets or carnival style rides.
If you are unsure whether you require insurance then we advise you contact your insurance company to ensure you are adequately covered.
COVID-19

All Stall holders must comply with DVCH’s COVID-19 Safety Plan.

Please also encourage visitors to your stalls to comply with these regulations.
Inside Stalls

These should be booked as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Cancellations should be advised one week prior– failure to advise may affect future bookings.

Should ensure that floor space surrounding stall is left free.
-
No additional racks, tables or goods shall be erected without prior approval from Market coordinator.

Stallholders are requested to move their vehicles from the unloading space promptly.

Stall holder fees will be collected around 11am.
Outside Stalls

These should be booked as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

When space allows parking for one car behind stalls is available, however parking is at own risk.

Additional parking is in the general space across the road.

Stall holder fees will be collected upon arrival.
Entertainment / Buskers

Any busker/ entertainer must have booked with the DVCH office one week prior to market day.

No payment for entertainment will be made by DVCH however monies may be collected from the general public.
